Check out the new and improved Variable Clock page! All new pictures, descriptions and tutorials. Prices have also changed for "Basic" and "Full" kits. Hopefully it all makes more sense now and will make your purchasing decision easier! Also, the micro pot and knob set dropped to $5!
Thanks! They all sold so that's cool! I'll try to get some more up in a few weeks if I can. Probably going to focus on 3DS though.
I asked mr. thursday to install and test out the new silicone button sets i've done (being manufactured atm) and for some feedback, and not only got great constructive criticism but also these rad pics, some with illumination!
this is a COMPLETE set of silicone buttons. they feel awesome too. i've managed to increase the quality of the silicone products, as well as lower cost. win-win, things just really fell into place with these. FINALLY.
He'll be offering this mod with these buttons, he does great work I highly suggest him. keep an eye out for that, I'll get him a stock of buttons when they get here so he can offer that pretty quickly to everyone who isn't comfortable doing it themselves.
oh! i should note... i had samples made in semi- and high-transparency silicone. not entirely sure what was used for the two illumination pics, but just wanted to mention that. i've decided on the semi-transparent ones for the first batch. best for 'backlighting', it diffuses much better (high-transparency is very clear, like a jelly candy sort of, doesn't really diffuse)
I like the color combos on the lights
er, lites...
moron

Will these also be sold by you? Will these work ok with insane button mashing?

also, I forgot you were making these. A black (or tan) version of these would work great for a stupid theme i came up with.
black will happen. probably not tan though
i've always felt a temptation to make dookie brown button stuff though. that may happen.
and, yes, i'll have just the button sets. justin will be doing illumination installs, i was wanting to show off his work for him here a little he may have just the buttons too, that's sort of his call
I managed to get my hands on a semi-transparent set. They're really nice. The tactile feel of things really goes a long way with me and I was afraid they were going to feel mushy or too soft but to my delight, they feel great! I'm definitely going to backlight them.
Awesome! Thanks, Matt! I'm pretty excited about these being on the market and I will be stocking these if possible.
I believe both of the illuminated pictures are of the high transparency sets. The non illuminated picture is of the low transparency set.
Honestly though they both look great when backlit. The high transparency was just a bit easier to get a picture of.
I would say the biggest difference is the the high transparency pops more. It looks more like an LED would look if it was button shaped.
The low transparency buttons are a much calmer glow with more even diffusion but as you can see even the high transparency buttons diffuse wonderfully!
oh my god please say we might see GBC/GBP variations of this.
I am so torn between having glamorous DMGs and portable but functional units. Santa plz
