I have a broken GBA AGB-001 that needs it's shoulder buttons replaced. I'm talking about the actual switch buttons the L and R pieces touch on the circuit board. I bought what I though was the closes resemblance of them and re-soldered them to the board but the button housing and the button's mechanical trigger switch do not line up. The housing is too big to fit in a case and the switch isn't long enough for the L and R pads to touch it. Here's what i've done so far.

So It's looking the easiest solution to fixing this to find the exact buttons that the AGB-001 used. Does anyone know what that would be?

Not sure how much you can invest in this, but it may be easier to buy a cheap dead one and harvest parts.

That's true, and if i find one of the cheap i'll be sure to get em. I also figured if the buttons were found, and they sold for like.. 50 cents each, it would be cheaper to buy bulk (10-20).

Get me a close up of two sides of the original button and I can try to find some.

Or you could just buy a dead GBA from me.

That is only a temporary fix though, and a pricey one at that. Dead or otherwise, a gba will be 50 cents which is also high for two tactile switches.

The point is that we can easily find a drop-in replacement part which will help others in the future.
