You may have offended someone but that's the fault of the reader not your for what you said. Or am i reading the first part wrong?
"I would like anyone effected by my recent posts to know that I apologize for their insensitivity" Id say that is apologizing for what he said.
Grammatically there is some question who their is referring to, his words or peoples hurt feelings. I'm going to say he meant the former.

Also the subject of the sentence was my posts, therefore their points back to the subject of my posts.
