Just wondering if there's any benefit to replacing the 10v 47uf cap (the bit one at the top) with an SMD cap, like this:

Would this be any smaller, or is the best option to move it with some wire?

I assume you have an older EMS 64 USB and are interested in putting it in a different case? The newer EMS 64 USB carts have an SMD capacitor there, so it should be possible. I don't know if the value has changed between revisions, though.

Interesting, I didn't realize they changed. I'll just have yto get more specs on that cap and see if it will be any smaller.
