I think using gradients, pen tool and converting to indexed colors after you're done gets you kinda close

I just check your work and its' really quite good. But i just found very nice pixel art also here. https://mobilegamegraphics.com/ Which is i bought some of their pixel art and they also have a free stuff as well.
