Hello allies,

Anybody have any recommendations for mini-monitors well suited for things like NES, Amiga, or even Raspberry Pi?

I'm ideally looking for something really small and able to accept composite video signal.

Thanks!

I got this for my pi, but its not very readable for me beyond 3-4 feet:

if running a pi only, this looks neat:

That first one looks perfect! Especially because it comes with a power adaptor and doesn't have me waste money on audio I/O, both of which were a concern with this one I was looking at:

I'm using one of those el cheapo "digital rear mirrors" for my Speccy as well. Works well, just don't expect the colors to be anywhere near where they should be.
Another good thing about those is that they usually accept a wide range of voltages (mine works with 4.5-15V), so you can pretty much use any spare psu or mobile phone charger you have laying around.

there is even a mod to bypass the register and use usb power out there.

anyone got reccomendations for something similar with vga / hdmi? i just got a rasp pi model b+ and i hadnt noticed but it omits the phono / rca video output. bleeeeeughhh. got an hdmi to vga adapter tho and guessing VGA input mini lcd's will be cheaper than hdmi ones (i dont need hi def for LGPT or riscOS obviously!)

You can still get phono out from the B+, you just need to use a 4-pole adaptor. I use one of these guys: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triple-3-x-Ph … 51afe36190

What size range are you looking for?
3.5"-4.3" is a little harder to find but once you get to 5"-10" it gets pretty easy.

Wow! A good finding indeed. I love it. A case/box with the TV screen. wink

Although it's only for the second PI version, I notice.

I dunno what You need dude. RGB, VGA or HDMI (for the Raspberry Pi 2, for instance)?

Finally I got the VGA one, for modern ZX Spectrums like Eva or Speccy2010. And it was this one: http://www.beetronics.co.uk/7-inch-monitor-with-vga

Seems like this one http://www.beetronics.co.uk/7-inch-monitor-white however has all 3 inputs/modes. And it's still 7" only.

Good luck.
