The Sawtooth is the answer!

Dude this can be serious subgenre.
I can even imagine "Chip-EDM-X" or aka "EDM-8".

What you think. Lets talk! Lets brainstorm! Lets make real
music from this... Haah.

This doesn't suck more than any other EDM subsubgenre. Somebody in the comments of that video nailed it, "please don't try create more subgernes".

Yep. But that guy from tutorial says it "it already splitted into new subgenres"... Classic EDM-X, Minimal EDM-X and that Noise EDM-X... So logical step of evolution will be Chip EDM-X too... But yes there is that comment...

Aren't you the guy who tried to create/force some other non-genre as well?

FMynth if I remember correctly...? It was like liquid/IDM, but one of the synths was an FM synth. I reckon next we should do FMopera-X, it's like an ordinary opera, but it never ends, it just keeps building, and one of the tenors is actually a DX-7.

Look, I'm sorry, and I'm fairly certain this was said in the other thread, but a genre isn't going to form out of someone setting down some rules and people following those rules. Even if it did become a genre, it would probably die out pretty quickly because no one would have their heart in the music. Successful genres come from people doing what they want to do, enjoying it, and not aiming to make a new genre. No one said to the Beatles "You can't use a sitar in this record, you're a pop band". No one told Jimi Hendrix that he had to use a guitar and play a genre called rock. They did what they wanted and people enjoyed it, and that's the way music should be.

Although EDM-X is a joke, isn't it basically just 90's dance music anyway? Like, wasn't the entire point of it to have all this buildups, and then more buildups as the track progressed? Every so often me and my dad have music based chats, and i showed him some more modern dance music, and he showed me the stuff he used to dance to when he was off his head sometime around 1995. He didn't really get skrillex because he just liked the buildups, rather than the drops, then he showed me Higher State of Consciousnes by Josh Wink.
After checking out the pouet link, I'm obviously not the only person who thought this.
