Very excited, over at AtariAge Freetz is working on a midi interface inspired by Littlescale's A26 teensy hardware
http://atariage.com/forums/topic/227037 … put-howto/
it's sounding very tasty! He just added ADSR to the note handling

Here is the home page for the project

He's submitting it in the ABBUC contest, so the release date will be after the compo. If you're a member vote for it!!

Edit: Freetz has released the code, donation ware, and has some PCBs! Check out his demos @prototron.de for more infos smile

...and I have a few PCB "leftovers" from my test run which I would give away for material costs - PM me if you are interested!

I have added a very simple sample code on my website which shows the basic structure of the MidiJoy software. It should be easy to translate this code to computers/consoles other than the Atari or C64. At the same time, the interface could stay as it is, so hopefully the devices that can be used as instruments will increase in the future smile.
BTW, there are still a few devices left from my test run, in case someone is still interested...

Good news: After the Atari 800 and the C64, MidiJoy now also works (rudimentary) with the VCS 2600 console. Source code as well as binary for usage with a Harmony cart can be found on my website.

Great job, looking forward to trying these out big_smile

Has yours arrived yet? In the tracking I can only see that it has left Germany, but nothing more so far...
BTW: The MidiJoy interface can now also be used to play pre-recorded digi-samples on the C64, Atari XL/XE as well as the VCS 2600 :-)

Have not seen them yet, but the postal system is always busy this time a year with Christmas stuff, so it would not surprise me if they are delayed.

That's a pity, had hoped you get it before xmas sad...

Also, here's a YouTube video demonstrating the digi-samples on an Atari XL - wirks likewise on a C64. The last sample demonstrates the manipulation of playback speed, all controllable from your Midi keyboard/seqencer:

I have added a 15 minute video on YouTube as well as the project website that shows the playback of 8 different tracks on the Atari XL using MidiJoy. A C64 recording is hopefully up by the end of the week:
