I don't really have anything from bastl, but I'm picturing this setup in my head:

A copy of lsdj with a click track panned to one side connects to a midibastl and acts as master sync.

From there, the midibastl connects to a micro granny, but also relays the click track forward to a korg volca; who's OUT relays the same click track to a Pocket Operator. How far off am I from reality? Or is this easily possible? The midi bastl only has so many jacks (I'd have to add some), and the description doesn't make it clear how exactly you go about configuring which connections are inputs and which are outputs. I'm not much of an arduino hacker, so I'm unsure as to the limitations of the programmable interface.

The reason I prefer this to using an arduinoboy, is because this leaves lsdj free to function in keyboard mode, giving me direct control over one of the channels. Any help would be appreciated.

If you did it this way, I dont think you really need a midibastl at all. If everything is click synced, and lsdj is the master, what midi do you need? All you would need to do is this:

The microgranny isn't click synced, at least not on it's own, so

...but is the click signal still effective if I were splitting it with a passive mixer in order to feed into 3 devices? Wouldn't it lose amplitude?

Ah i miss the micro, then yea youd need that kind of setup to throw the midi sync in the mix. You could also probably use a volca sample in lieu of the granny to stay in a click only ecosystem.

But how would it work if I insisted on using an mG?

You would need something else to work as midi clock master. Drum machine, volca, whatever..

Unless you hack it, MIDI Bastl can't receive pulse, only send it. It can convert MIDI to pulse, but not the other way around. Prof's suggestion of using something else as a mock master isn't going to work either because since you don't want to use MIDI to sync LSDJ, LSDJ HAS to be your master. Basically, there's no way to do what you want to do with the gear you want to use.

Couldnt you

Pan gameboy to mono, have a click signal going into the volca out which then sends midi slave info to the granny, and click on to the pocket op? no midibastl needed.

Volcas, even if hacked with MIDI out jacks, don't send clock out the MIDI: http://media.aadl.org/files/catalog_gui … _chart.pdf

maybe you could use this instead: http://www.korg.com/us/products/dj/sq_1/

The SYNC OUT jack outputs a 5V pulse that’s 15 ms long at the beginning of each step.
If you connect the SYNC OUT jack of a volca series unit or the monotribe to
the SYNC IN jack of the SQ-1, the step clock of the SQ-1 is ignored, and steps
advance according to the pulses that are input. Use this if you want steps to
synchronize to the pulses that are output from SYNC IN

And then you can use the sequencer to do funky stuff to the mG?

Aha! That's one way to do it.

I've kept researching (I thought maybe I could find an eurorack module that converts the click sync to midi?), and according to commenters here:

and

The midi out DOES send clock data??

Midi-out moded Volca does send midi clock.
Not sure if it works when slaved to pulse sync but I think it does
