Oh yeah, always dreamt about synth with ym2612 inside (because it sounds great).
Regarding Sammich for FM you should see this, but it uses OPL3.

Oh wow! I only ever seen the Sammich SID. Thanks for the link
the pitch of 'something wonderful' seems to be sharp in the vgm playback video, but y0 playa this little box might be gq af if it can be obtained as a kit.
AAhhh!! I'm so jealous that you have that! Where can I get one??

Well, I didn't found any info on furrtek's website (he's rebuilding it though). I thing you should e-mail/pm him about that.

Um, no, I didn't found it literally. I meant, found it in teh internets.

How multi-timbral is it? Sammich FM only allows 4 4-op instruments, so running in 2-op mode you must be able to do quite a few.

I can't make promises but I've been working on a port of Sauraen's MBFM v2 STM32 synth for a Sega like YM/PSG synth. I hanen't started a new topic yet but for a little info:

Code wise I've port 90% of the driver modules, so will be testing it on HW soon. Then it's on to the main synth engine code and midi handler.
