Is there any advantage to, or is it at all possible, to install a CCAM on an early revision MD1? (VA1 or something)

Some, yes. The components used in the amp and filter circuit are aging and I also use a better and lower noise op amp ic.
The circuit itself is of course based on the md1, so the benefits are small.
