I downloaded the Amiga Soundtracker Sample Pack,  but all the samples are less then a second long, presumably to save space. How would I go about looping them? I'm also sorting them out, and when I'm done I'll post a download to the sorted respository.

If you're looking to use handhelds, I know LGPT can loop samples. If you want to use your DAW, you could use a ROMpler maybe? I know in FL Studio, 3x OSC lets you load samples in to it, as does Harmor. I'm sure there are others if you search.

that set of samples is awesome. I used to use them in milkytracker but iirc you can probably use the ableton live Simpler to use it as an instrument, though I'm unfortunately unseasoned in ALive or many other modern DAWs

this entirely depends what software you are using!

it doesn't make sense to unloop them and save all the looped wavs to disk because they still might not be long enough and you can always loop them in your tracker/DAW/whatever you are using

so best just leave them really short and let the people who download it loop them

what software are you using yourself? maybe someone here will know how to set up loop points in that for when you play it back

Originally the loop points for those ST-XX disks were stored in a different file used by Soundtracker. (called the PLST)   Traditionally Soundtracker samples were stored as raw audio.
