It moves the waveform up, and at FF it wraps around but with more noise. Why?

The resyn2 phase mode repeats thestart of the source waveform. This can create a waveform which has samples only on the top side. Careful use of vshift can center the waveform again. Less careful use can create some nice distorsion.

Thanks Nitro! OH I had always wondered how resyn2 worked! (but still not sure why one would use resyn2 over resync)
Another question I have is if vshift just moves the waveform up, then why at FF when it loops back around does it have the noisey overtones added?
