Being new to LSDJ, I was wanting some ideas on how to use the noise channel. I feel pretty limited. I have used it to make a simple beat, or a simple percussive layer. How do you use it?
Layer it with some kind of pumping semi percussive bass sweep from another channel for one.
Do an arpeggio by putting the instrument in "pitch" mode and then use the S command to produce a chord.

Use it to make a complex beat, or a complex percussive layer. Or explosion noises!

This channel took me the longest to master, it can do a lot!
Sometimes I try to make it sound like traditional acoustic drums and cymbals, other times I take advantage of the unique sounds it offers. Don't forget about looped noise!
Looping S commands on a table make for great sweeps, using different starting patches can completely change the sound of the sweep. Sometimes you might want to try to sound like sound effects, in the bridge of this song I tried to sound like a factory exploding, it's not even in time with the song.

I've been working on doing single channel echo with noise instruments. Here's an example:

No extra drums?!?
I like abusing it into kick drums and abrasive basslines. I'll post some patches when I get home c:

Thanks! Got the echo idea from this Ap0c track: https://soundcloud.com/ap0c/4-unterbrec core-vol-i.
Here's the rest of the Game Boy track: https://soundcloud.com/boymeetsrobot/in nicorn-wip.
I'm recording vocals and guitar this summer, and the album should be out in the fall.

yeah, I like to use it to add a bit of a click to kick drums, at least in nanoloop 2. I really need to give melodic stuff a try with the noise channel though!

The kick and snare are blended with samples to beef them up a little
