Hey friends,

Have you .it freakz noticed schismtracker.org now redirects to a bitbucket page with nothing but Schism Tracker source code?

I'm trying to find the osx version of schism, and all sites (pouet.net included) have the schismtracker.org direct link that doesn't exist anymore.

If anyone has the osx version and could send me some link, I'd really appreciate it.

Bye friends.

yeah, noticed this recently. pretty disappointing; things have been quiet on the schismtracker development front for quite a while.

i think archive.org has you covered, though: https://web.archive.org/web/20160323134 … macosx.zip

there were a bunch of promising-looking patches on /scdev/ that hadn't been integrated yet

including one by me that warns if you if you save a module containing adlib instruments as an IT

written after much grief over many instances of that mistake

Storlek has been in difficult times in several ways and probably could use some support.

Here's a working link to windows v3.4.2: http://schism-tracker.en.uptodown.com/
And A 69 page users manual courtesy of the Internet Archive: https://archive.org/details/SchismTrackerUsersManual

I've never used this tracker myself, and I don't know much about it, but it's always good to keep trackers and other legacy programs available. I'll find some samples and play around someday. smile

So what you're saying is they're prioritizing real life issues over maintaining a niche piece of software?

I don't buy it.

in the absence of any feasible way that i can think of to support storlek, i'd at least like to keep the great software they developed accessible.

to this end, and since schismtracker is open-source and GPL-licensed, i've forked storlek's schismtracker repo on github, replicated the latest commit from the bitbucket repo, and ported most of the old schismtracker.org wiki to github as well.

some of the download links on the wiki still point to files that are only available via archive.org. a couple of friends and i plan to build some up-to-date versions of schismtracker for the most common platforms and make them available via github releases.

integrating some of the untouched patches from /scdev/ is also on the to-do list.

if you're code-savvy and would like to chip in, feel free to open issues and make pull requests as appropriate. also feel free to help storlek out if you can :(

Great job Jangler.
It was my first Linux Tracker and it's a great software.
it is so close to impulse tracker, or maybe schism/impulse is the same software dunno.
