hello,
I m new to this forum so sorry if thats not the place for this kind of questions and soon to for my english,im spain so english is not my language.
the think is i found some information about but is very complicate to found something once you get deep into.
Ok gamboy has 4 chanels 1 noise generator:i guess is an algorithm or something on the way
                                           2 wavetable synthesis: ok i understand that one
                                           3 and 4:there comes the real problem,both are square waves,yes ok but how is this generated?¿is this analog?or if its digital                 
                                              waths the way it is generated?¿

The most important thing to know is that it's not a sound chip generating the sound. It's the CPU. ergo, Gameboy is NOT chipmusic.

It's not a discrete chip on its own, but it is still a programmable sound generator that runs via registers and control lines from the CPU. I think that saying GB music "is NOT chipmusic" is inaccurate.

oh ffs, at this point I'm just gonna wait for the inevitable "Should we call it CPUmusic?" thread...

(seriously though, just to beat the dead horse some more, the CPU is a chip too)
