Any substitute programs/VST's you guys could recommend? My go-to program is usually FL studio.

or the 3xosc thing in FL can easily produce chip style sounds
Deflemask does gameboy pretty dang good. Or straight up LSDJ with BGB, you can never go wrong with that combo.
You can also grab BGB and emulate LSDj on there.
