Hello friends!

I am looking at site where are brand new German C64 reloaded and Czech ZX48k Sparrow motherboards:

And I am dreaming about Atari version little bit...

Lets brainstorm whole concept...

ATARI XE RENEW motherboard (aka Atari XE-R):

My dream is to have 65XE/800XE eci motherboard but with brand new PCB and some brand new parts:

- 6502 (overclockable to 3,58MHz??? Or maybe latter with Rapidus 65c816???)
- VBXE 2.x
- Ultimate 1MB (with SpartaDOS+QMEG) or maybe Antonia 4MB upgrade?
- Build in internal SIDE - compact flash interface (works as internal SSD/HDD)
- HDMI video out
- 2x golden cich audio out
- Build in SDrive or Sio2SD?
- Stereo Final Pokey (2xPokey) Upgrade or TK-2 stereo with PS/2 keyboard?
- Build in SONARI (opl3+AY) soundcard or SoundBoard? + COVOX
- white PCB
- 1x led Power 1x led SD loading 1x led playing stereo

New parts+old parts together.

How should it works?
You will pay and send your old: 800XE,65XE,130XE motherboard to RENEW company or team. And recieve Atari XE-R motherboard from them.

This XE-R will create brand new standard (like AMIGA 500plus or MSX2+ was) so everyone will have same specs. So higly optimized amazing games, demos or apps will be working on everyones ATARI XE-R.

Audio:
2x Pokey (2x 4channels PSG)
2x AY in FPGA (2x 3 channels PSG)
1x OPL3 (18x FM channels)
4x COVOX (samples)
Total 36 channels!!!
So it will be superb platform for chipmusic...

Why? Rather separated devices, recently i purchased those Teenage Engineering pocket operators which can by synced and cascaded and it is very nice addition to other chiptune devices like zx128k+, c64, 3x nintendo dmg01s. and todays computers with chiptune trackers are also respected in our circles

Look at videos of our chiptune star Lukhash, he own some superchiptune devices? No, but he know how to produce very cool remixes :-)

So this is basically a petition with a bunch of features you want someone else to make?

have you considered asking Lotharek, Stryker, etc if they have the ability to make something like this or if they even care?

He use highly modified Gameboy and C64 and custom higlyoverpricedhardware by Teenage Engineering. Plus I can hear mastering in DAW on PC. I love His work/songs and C64 remixes. But He is more like hybrid chiptunes musician...

I see you are pure Commodore fan and know nothing about little Atari scene...

As you can see graphics is like on AMIGA or PC. So yes it will be new standard.

Lukhash is NOT a chiptune musician. He is a musician that produces music with using of SOME of chipmusic instruments.

Nope. I wrote about this idea year ago. But when there will be 100+ people interested in. Maybe developer will think about it. I know A800 is not C64 with 100k+ of users...Anyways A800XE is beautiful computer deserves future development... Also A800 community is best.
