yeah I scared myself at a Sunn O))) gig around 10 years ago, my ears were ringing for a couple of days afterwards. From then on I decided to wear earplugs at pretty much every show. I have friends who never wear them, one friend in particular who is almost proud of not wearing earplugs, like it's some feat of endurance or something.. I just can't afford to lose any more hearing than what I probably already have.
Yea I've come to realized I needed plugs in the middle of LSA last year, thank god DBOYD carries around a big ol bucket of them.
