hey,
so i'm in the market for a mixer, and need suggestions (links).
first off i will need at minimum 4 inputs, but i would prefer 6 (not counting mics).
also preferably all 1/8" jacks (but i cant get 1/8-rca cables if i have to, no big deal)
i also use a KP-3 from time to time, and i'd like a mixer that could use it's capabilities,
but not be a >$1000 korg beast. also it needs to be table top, not rack mount.
so something small i can get my mix on with.

i don't know of any mixer that used 1/8" jacks
you're going to have to use either 1/4" or RCA
mackie 1202 or similar clone
you just need to make sure that whatever you buy has at least one AUX send for using the kp3

i'm a fan of the old 1202's you can find them all the time on craigslist
i have the 802vlz3 and it stomps balls. Quiet plenty of routing and options.

I thoroughly reccomend you get either a mackie or yamaha mixer, they make great small mixers.

can be picked up for about £150 on ebay, maybe less if you are lucky. I'd kill for one myself, they just look so cool for me.

So far it has done everything as advertised. Nice navigation, decent effects, good sound, runs on batteries. I have had some background noise issues but I think that's a problem on my part...

NOT a clone. Just Mackie.
If you are on a tight budget, get one of those Behringers that copy a Mackie

yea behringer makes cheap stuff, which will work 100% fine for lo-fi jams anyway... I'm assuming live use? don't spend too much, you can find something awesome for less than $150 if you stalk craigslist or summat. if it is a mixer for studio on which to mix your recordings, you'll want to spend more on something that is not behringer but that's a whole new realm of poop

my music isnt at the level where i think i need a really nice mixer yet (maybe someday).
so im really looking for something that does what i need, is portable (yes live play. parties mostly),
and isnt *that* expensive.
a friend of mine suggested the behringer xenyx 802
it has all the features i want/need:
- small form factor
- 6 stereo paired line inputs (and 2 mics)
- AUX send / return
- about $50...
so unless someone says this mixer really sucks, and has a legitimate reason as to why,
i think i might order this bad boy after pay day. i really want to hear what my stuff sounds
like with multiple synced gameboys mixed properly. plus, i will *FINALLY* get to integrate
my circuit bent casio sk-1 into the soundscapes 
though the roland m-10DX looks pretty
awesome as well... but $100 more... but ya get what ya' pay for...

join the behringer brotherhood, drop it on the floor and spill a beer on it and keep on playing.
That xenyx does have great features for the price although calling it "8 input" is a bit misleading.
