Alright so I'm new to LSDj, (been using about a week now XD)
and I was wondering if someone could help me out with using L for slides.
I can't get it to work consistently, and still don't quite understand how to control it when it does work.
Little help?
care to elaborate on your problem?
L00 = no slide
L01 = slow slide
L10 = much faster slide
i found nitro2k01's comments on the LSDj Tips And Tricks page helpful.
maybe you want to use the "P" command instead?
also, read this.
care to elaborate on your problem?
7/10 times i can't get it to fire at all.
And I can't get a grasp on sliding-in to a note.
Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way... haha
fist off,
the "L" (slide) command only works on Pulse and Wave instruments.
C-4
F-4 L04
---
C-4 L03this will start playing the C-4 note then slides to F-4 at a speed of 4.
then slides back to C-4 at a speed of three.
notice the first note, C-4 doesnt have a command on it. because we want
that note to first play normally... THEN slide down to F-4, play that note for
a second, then slide back to C-4. notice the 2nd C-4 DOES have a command
by it. because we dont want that note to play normally, we want to slide into
that note... does that make sense?
Actually that makes a lot of sense. I was looking at it like this:
C-4 LXX
F-4 ---
---
C-4 etc.
I was interpreting it like you had to use L -ON- the note you were wanting to slide. If that makes sense.
You ahve cleared up a world for me. XD
yeah,
that's how i initially though of it as well.
since C-4 is the first note (nothing before it)
we have nothing to slide FROM. but putting
it on F-4 the tracker knows to slide into the note
from the previous one ;D
glad i could help.
