There are a few 8bit events that pop up in Sydney, Australia as well.
Nerd Strobe is a spinoff of Sydney's birdsrobe events.

They seem to happen every few months and always feature 8bit musos.

There are two more coming up before the end of the year, they will appear in this feed: http://gameboyaustralia.com/search/label/nerdstrobe but maybe that doesn't make the cut on this list.

Micropalooza is a yearly event in Portland that is hosted by Ground Kontrol, and DataPort is SUPPOSED to be happening monthly.
