Conservatism is a many-headed beast, so don't get your definitions of it caught up in the partisan, post-Reagan era definition of what it means to be a conservative. Only a small (and dismissible) part of what traditionally defines the conservative mindset has to do with morality, it is really mostly a way to think about economics, civil liberties, and the sovereignty of nations and individuals. On another note, simply because somebody objects to your personal opinion does not mean that they are challenging your right to free speech. Think for yourselves.
