This is really cool. I didn't know people made flash demos like this.
Your avatar does make me expect something sarcastic lol.
Holy shit.. Didn't expect this tbh
@Xero, who's your friend?
Edit: Lol @ the breakthrough performance nomination for Area Unstable.. We are quite a seasoned team.

That's an awesome flash demo, great graphics Sander!
However, which parts are pre-rendered? I son't know if some of the effects here can be attained with realtime AS, but I'm a noob on the latest AS technology. Tell us a bit more! (particularly that green polyhedron that gets bubbly warping on it. If that's realtime, Flash got awesome).

@Sander
my friend's name is ralph hauwert aka unitzeroone.
he's one of the core team members of papervision3D which is a realtime 3D engine for flash.
@akira^8GB
if yew dl the demo from pouet - there's one SWF and one FLV. i think the flv is the only prerendered part (not 100% sure on that one).
ralph is crazy with the particle engines + shaders. he's done some amazing real time shaders in flash already waterball +waterball2.
(these demos are user interactive, move the mouse on the sphere to activate the effect)
and YES! the green polyhedron is real time!
there is a demo scene for flash, but it's still in it's infancy... flashscene.org
even the bombsquad/evoflash demo group is moving into flash territory...
when they first released adhdtv i was blown away!
also, evoflash uses away3D for flash (another flash 3D engine)

@sander,
i just read on gloom's blog
that yew did the original theme and the graphics for it.
nice work! i really enjoyed this demo.
i'v know ralph and mr.doob for a while now (online only).
ralph has helped me with flash more times than i can count.
@Xero, ah nice! Are you a demoscener yourself?
HA! I WISH! ;D
i'm a huge fan of the scene, and i'v been to a few parties...
i have been working on a new real-time flash audio visualizer,
but the beat detection is not going very well
that green polyhedron that gets bubbly warping on it. If that's realtime, Flash got awesome.
is this real-time enough for yew???
