The Attic Bits (NH) http://www.theatticbits.com/
The Attic Bits are Mike D'Errico and Jeremy Murphy, a duo sharing diverse influences and experiences. Murphy grew up as an avid gamer, absorbing the video game music of his childhood as he now creates his own. D'Errico's musical history includes composing avant-garde electronic music. Performing 8-bit music together for a little over a year now, The Attic Bits have played with major acts including The Books, Marco Benevento, and local hip-hop legend, Defrock. Their CD, "Dance of the Dragon" was named one of the top ten local music releases of 2010 by Seacoast Spotlight. Other featured performances include the Arisia 2011 Sci-Fi Convention as well as a feature on NHPR's "Word of Mouth" series.
Adam Gets Awesome (NYC) http://music.adamgetsawesome.com/
AdamGetsAwesome is a Brooklyn, NY based chip music artist and beer snob whose styles range from mildly chaotic to all out dance party. Never completely happy with previous electronic music creation platforms, Adam turned to the Nintendo Gameboy and LSDJ in 2008 and hasn't looked back since
Doomcloud (Japan) http://soundcloud.com/doomcloud
Being born 4 months premature only helped him become a better pick pocket. And by the old age of 14, Doomcloud had already been around the world 31 times which helped him realize what he must do: fill the world with dance-inducing sound waves. Equipped with tiny musical bits he created from Nintendo Entertainment Systems, Amigas, or even Sound Blaster 16 cards, Doomcloud has prepared himself for crowd-slaying floor shows. He hopes to inspire new followings to his unorthodox ways of creating dance music. Will you be the next participant who will display these fresh types of blissful choreography?
Active Knowledge (MA) / http://www.activeknowledgemusic.com/
"It's not so much the preservation of youth, as the celebration of it," says Chris Mahoney, better known in creative circles as Active Knowledge. Firing notes through an original Nintendo Entertainment System, the Active Knowledge mixes vintage video game sounds with synchronized glitchy, spastic visuals. The idea is unadulterated fun, with a focus on the unadult. Active Knowledge’s debut album “Pyramid Neon” is available to download for free on his site.
Br1ght Pr1mate (Boston) / http://www.brightprimate.tk/
Former Boston rock scene alums, Lydia Marsala and James Therrien (Fugitive Kind), combine forces for a new take on live electronic music. Using a unique blend of live vocals, acoustic instruments, gameboys and vintage electronics, Br1ght Pr1mate explores, bends and completely ignores the boundaries of Chiptune, Pop, Art, Electro, Rock, Jazz and Soul for a futuristic fusion that would be right at home on your favorite space ship. Br1ght Pr1mate's music has been featured on FOX News National Morning Show "Fox & Friends", and has received praise from The Boston Globe, The Boston Phoenix, The Boston Metro and more.
RADIO SCOTVOID /// http://www.radioscotvoid.com/
Sound artist and dj Radio Scotvoid is a common fixture on the North Shore of Boston music scene. Often heard on WMWM 91.7fm Salem State University or seen playing around Salem, MA.
