Any ideas?  If he gave it away it's probably not working, any idea on what its INTENDED to be?

Up for bid is a DMG gameboy my friend gave to me and didn't give me details about what he did to it
There is a cable sticking out that's soldered to the motherboard and the cable has a 10 hole connection
I have no idea what the cable is for
The gameboy doesn't turn on unless you use an AC adapter
It has a replacement battery lid with a picture of mario on it
It does not have a backlight
The screen has a line on the far right side
The lens has a smudge on it
It is in a really nice grey shade and looks almost new
The link cable port has a cover on it
You only get the gameboy that's pictured and not the AC adapter
If you have any questions or want to see more pictures then feel free to ask
I'll ship it within 48 hours of payment in a small flat rate box
Here's a close up of the cable

it could be anything really. it was probably meant to connect to some breakout box.

It looks like a nintendo developmental type gameboy. I once saw a website that featured a list of all there developmental hardware with pics, but i cant recall what it was....

matt's mind

its for the demo vision units that used to be in stores for gameplay on tvs.

it requires the demo vision unit itself, it won't work on its own (well, won't display through a tv at least).
