Hey there.
I'm pokket, practically unheard of in the chip community cause I don't really do music of that type as of yet. Just experimentation. However, I do run a small netlabel called The Oleum Fold which you've probably never heard of before either.
I've been in the process of putting together a nice compilation project for charity and I finally have everything sorted out. After talking with Child's Play a bit the compilation will be for them and the compilation will include a vast array of musical genres as well. From ambient, acoustic, what have you. I've come here to see if any chiptune artists might be interested.
Things to know
1. Tracks submitted must be original. I don't want to rehash anything for this. It gives it a reason to be bought so as much money possible can be reached to the charity. No remixes, covers, etc. either. Note - I would prefer for tracks to be only for this release, but after a few artists emailing about it I'll except previously released tracks or tracks that will be released on another album
2. I don't think anyone will have a problem with this, but you have to be willing to not receive any profit out of this. It's for charity only. All proceeds will be going to Child's Play.
3. I will have final say on what makes it on the compilation. Not to discourage anyone, but being a charity event I don't want to release something I'm not happy with.
4. You're welcome to submit as many tracks as you want and I'll just pick the best out of what I want. How many chiptune tracks make it on the release is still under way. Whatever there's room for. I want it to have different genres so it could be from 2 to 4 at the most.
5. If you don't make the deadline and do not have a reason as to why or let me know you need an extension any late submissions will be ignored. If you need an extension on the deadline let me know at least 2 weeks before the deadline and we'll see what we can work out.

DEADLINE IS DECEMBER 1ST FOR ALL SUBMISSIONS.
I'm hoping to release the compilation by the end of December or the beginning of January. Child's Play has told me they would announce the project when it's ready to be released so that gets any artists a fair bit of promotion.
If you submit a track for the compilation and it gets released we won't regard you as a label musician or anything. Figured that would be worth mentioning in case any of you guys are on a netlabel and they might have problems with it. However, if I really like your stuff I'll be willing to work with you in the future and help promote you. The Oleum Fold is small, but it's steadily getting out there and this compilation should hopefully spread the name a bit.
The album will be released digitally via a bandcamp for The Oleum Fold or maybe a specific bandcamp just for this compilation. I'm contacting bandcamp to see if I could have the proceeds directly go to Child's Play's paypal just for this release if I have end up using the label bandcamp. I'll provide online receipts for anyone to look at if interested. Maybe even screencaps of traffic and downloads too. I wanted to do this for Child's Play as well cause if this goes well I'd like to make it a yearly thing.
The price of the album is still varying. Right now thinking of going with a five dollar base fee but also give the option to pay more if you want to help out. I want to have around 20 or so songs for this as well.
There's no theme to the album right now either, music just needs to be good.
Musicians that I know will be submitting work or who are interested
These aren't any chiptune artists as I have yet to have a good chip submission so far. Just trying to get you guys hyped and see what talent we have so far.
