Ah... simple enough ^^

But why would this improve the contrast though?

I'm still a bit confused about the bivertion. What exactly does it do? People say it increases contrast by inverting. But does the grey-scale come out inverted, like tilting the polarization filter? or is it something else that gets inverted? I'm up to it. Just hit me ^^

I'll definitely check out HHL as well! Thank you!

I'm starting out my first Gameboy DMG mod-project and I'm wondering a little bit about backlights. There are a lot of different backlights out there and I've come to understand that there are different kinds that are not equally satisfying in performance to say the least. What are some good things to look for? For example I've gotten the impression that Kitch-bent is a good and reliable store for these kinds of things, so for example, do anyone have any opinions regarding the kind of backlights they have for sale, since I'm thinking of ordering other things from there anyway?

I'm not super particular as long as the backlight isn't really bad. What kinds are there? What kinds do you recommend and are there some I really need to look out for?

Some help would be appreciated!

I'm getting started with vintage computers and I've bought an old C64 but it misses the videocable. I've been googling around like crazy to understand what kind of cable it is. I've come to the conclusion that I have the version of C64 that takes a horse-shoe 8-pin din connector which splits the chroma and-what-not but what confuses me in that there are several kinds of cables with 8-pin din. I believe I need the one with s-video in the other end, but even then there are two different kinds when I search around: one with s-vid + 2 RCA and one with s-vid + 3 RCA, which the latter is impossible to find to buy anywhere and I really can't find any good information about this.

Just finding a proper cable to this thing turned out to be more of an endevour than I anticipated. Help sorting this out would be highly appreciated.

ps. It's a C64G if that helps.
