So I made this west coast rap song but I feel something is lacking. While I know it needs to a rapper to really be complete, I think the verses in particular are cumbersome and repetitive. This being said, I don't want to get all experimental with it. Simple 90's gangsta rap. I just feel like the song is lacking in teeth somehow.

Give me ideas to spice up my gangsta rap song

Yup that fixed it! Just had to turn panning off. Thanks a lot

My kit instrument is panned right. Is that the problem?

So I made a song with the Ghetto Samples kit and through the DMG speakers or the headphone jack to headphones it sounds fine. But when I try to record the channel into my audio interface and recording software (Reaper), the samples don't give any sound. Every other part of the song records perfectly.

Any ideas fam?

Thanks dude! Props. I couldn't come up with it for the life of me lol

Lame theme song:

What I need to know is how to play the melody that starts at 0:07 and ends at 0:17

Thanks in advance!

Thanks dudes!

If I had 4 gameboys and each with an LSDJ cart, and I wanted to play a song I wrote made up of 16 channels, what would be the easiest way to do it?

I'm assuming I wouldn't be able to simply have a central LSDJ cart for all 4 gameboys. I would guess they would all need their own.
But thanks for any input. Starting to think about doing some live shows.

You might try adding some hop gated tables so that your lead tones kind of  evolve over time.  Also it's hard to go wrong with a detune of 1 or 2 on just about any instrument.

Btw, this song kicks ass.

Could you explain how to do hop gated tables? I'm just starting with tables. Newbie here haha

Hey all! Trying to learn how to make more interesting sounding lead tones and I was wondering if anyone could guess how to make the lead instrument that comes in at 0:20 in this song: https://shadynastyiscool.bandcamp.com/t … r-scissors

I'm trying to make my simple bass lines sound more interesting my changing duty cycles in a table. However, it always sounds out of time when I change duty cycles. I'm in 4/4 time. Any ideas for smoother sounding cycling?

Oh ok, could you link me?

I really don't understand how I can move my songs off of my usb cart to my pc to put on bandcamp or how to convert these files to the appropriate file type. Any ideas?
