Thank you very much, about how long did the process take?

This is really cool! Great job! I know this was suggested, but if you add a clear b button with yellow/red/blue led under it that would be even more amazing!
Yeah during this process I've discovered all the different ways these boys can be customized. I'd like to put a backlight in but I need to learn how to solder. I'm sure the led has a similar install. Once I learn how to do that I'll definitely be altering the B button.

Finished my first attempt at doing this type of customization. Definitely gonna look into poscca pens or another type of paint as the type I used was hard to work with. Starting a "Blanka boy" in a couple days( sticking with the street fighter theme for a bit). Tear this one apart so my next ones are better. My next one will have art on the back.

I gave the case a light sanding before I applied the spray paint, as for the coating its Testors clear coat spray lacquer.

Did you sand off the DMG's texture first? If not, I don't think I'd bother wet sanding it.
I watched a video where a guy wet sanded and buffed the varnish to give it a super high gloss look. Didn't know what it would look like on a game boy.

you painting looks very good! Congratulations. I guess you're using varnish after that to be sure the paint won't scratch, aren't you?
Yeah just trying to decide if I want to wetsand the varnish.

Do you think the DMG shells look good with a wet sand finish or just couple coats of sealer?

You should use a clear blue button for B, would look so dope
Right now I have a white screen and a set of white buttons coming but i may have to reconsider the B button now.

I just started my first custom paint job for fun ( Ryu) on a DMG. A few of my friends suggested I try and sell some. As soon as I can figure out how to post a image I will add what I started on here. Interested in your thoughts.
