Thanks! I'm going to be making a laser cut 15in vesa monitor mounted version with some decent recycled NEC monitors I picked up. Once I get that going in a few weeks I'll probably post the image for that version (it's a bit more universally usable) on google drive or something for everyone. This first one was just to make something portable and solid enough to work well. I'll look into serial midi for sure, i think it's do-able even as an add on since the pi has several usb ports

I'm thinking about doing a small run of these but just put one up on ebay to see what the response would be.
It's a pi-based all-in-one LGPT unit with a 5in screen.
it boots directly into LGPT and can use any project/sample files off a usb thumbdrive created in mac/windows/linux or you can make track directly on the unit itself.
I'm including a usb based snes clone controller and a cheapie usb audio card (that's way better than onboard audio)
Probably not going to answer a ton of linux-ey or tech questions here but PM me if you have any questions about the unit itself.

Primarily just myself, my name is nathan. I've been selling circuit bent stuff and custom electronics as "cosmic blooper" and "laboratory fermicirrus" on ebay for a while, also used to provide getlofi.com with a lot of their laser cut enclosure panels. (here's something older i've made: https://youtu.be/C9sibSy0pQk) but since lskeyjay.com started i just refer to it as "we" as I've worked with several people on the project

Just finished the LS Key Jay LSDJ controller. We took the most functional/navigational features of an LSDJ keyboard and shrunk them into a pocket sized, labeled, and un-cluttered controller that works stand alone with a DMG PCB adapter (that we designed, catskull.net produced), modified GBC cable, OR with the latest release of catskull.net's Arduinoboy
We worked closely with catskull.net in both testing and modifying the latest Arduinoboy code to allow you to use both the LS Key Jay and a standard midi keyboard simultaneously so you can easily navigate LSDJ while using your midi keyboard to play notes.

Our initial release will be based on demand but we plan on producing them regularly within a few months.
