I was able to get pretty close to the BB track with these settings:

Wave: square
Filter: lowp
Q: F
Dist: clip
Phase: normal

Volume: 28
Cutoff: 02
Phase: 00
Vshift: 00

Set play to manual. Try tweaking the volume to get slightly different sounds.

Just released a chiptune-emo song about Kylo Ren.

That's a nice tune; I'm getting kind of a Konami vibe smile

One suggestion if you want to make C commands sound fuller, combine them with octave transposition in a table like this.

My biggest critique would that there is a lot of repetition and I'd like to hear more variety and contrast.

the noise channel is capable of some pretty rad sounds and i always recommend checking out the excellent tutorial by Boy Meets Robot (i think i linked this in the last post).

Thanks for the shout out smile

I made a video walking through the SAV file for the title track of my album. Let me know if you find it helpful and would like to see more.

I made a fakebit version of a baroque-style fugue I wrote a while back:

They weren't visible in any folder since BGB didn't properly exported any files. Playback sounds pretty terible as well so I might want to dive into the settings as well. Do you normally export as 8bit sound?

No, uncheck 8bit sound and select "high quality sound rendering".

I like the energy in the track a lot, and I think you're off to a really good start here! If I had one suggestion I would say to explore working with the noise channel, there are a lot of interesting sounds you can get out of it that I think can add a lot of interesting variation to the rhythms. Keep up the great work!

I was about to make the exact same comment!

If you're interested in seeing some noise channel sound ideas, I recently made a tutorial on noise channel percussion:

Nice! I've been using Transpose until now, but I\'ve been fairly ambivalent about the results.

Transpose can do some of the same things, but doesn't work with the H command technique I show since it's not additive.

Also, transpose treats the sweep value as a 2 digit number while the S command treats each digit separately. So S0F = TSP FF.

Haven't finished it yet but you just explained some things to me that I wish I knew years ago... That dang sweep command has always been confusing to me.

Does the sweep value wrap? i.e. if I start at FF and use S02, what value would that be?

Glad to be helpful! Yes, the sweep command does wrap (your example would give a shape of F2). A fun way to use this is with a table like this:

00 S01
01 H00
