It looks like using volume and delay on the same line is broken. The delay seems to be using the values from the volume command and the values on the delay command don't seem to do anything.

Here's a build of LGPT for the RS-97 that potentially enables USB serial MIDI: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/ … pt_usb.ipk

No idea what to do with it from here, but catskull might know.

Will do.

What's the advantage of retrofw over useless? I haven't kept up!

I think it's mostly a better and/or less buggy kernel. I'm not sure otherwise. RetroFW hit 1.0 right before I got my unit, so I've been running it from the get-go.

I don't think these devices can do usb host stuff so it wouldn't be possible. Devs over on discord would be able to answer.

Honestly the mod is SO CLOSE to working, testing is just super slow.

That is exciting!

I asked on the Retrogamers Discord and they hooked me up. They now have a recent build in the ipk mirrors.

Regarding MIDI: Is it possible to do MIDI over USB (or with an external USB MIDI adapter) with Dingux builds? That would be a nice way to sidestep this whole modded serial challenge.

Midi via USB port?

Great question! I have no idea. Does Piggy do MIDI over USB with other handheld devices?

I'm pretty amazed that this thing has two micro SD slots

The RS-97 has two micro SD slots too, it's just a bitch to get to the internal one (5 or 6 screws and popping open the case). I'm excited that this one's internal slot is just under the battery, which is waaaay easier.

I went ahead and ordered one. I look forward to its arrival in a bajillion years.

Looks to be pretty similar specs to the RS-97 but in a different style case. The screen looks to be the same resolution as the RS-97 and it can run RetroFW, so I imagine that Piggy builds that work for the RS-97 will work for it as well.

I might pick one up to try out the different shape, since i find the shoulder buttons on the RS-97 a little unpleasant to use due to the small height.

Is there another place to grab a compatible build of Piggy following the release of the new RetroFW firmware?
