Hello ProfXavier, you can learn basics of chiptune pretty easy here:

I can also recommend you software, such as LSDJ on Nintendo Gameboy, any tracker such as free Modplug tracker, on this forum you can also find all sorts of trackers/music software in every section, good not?

By the way, you are learning to code, paint and compose music at same time? Good luck!

Hi Martin!! Thanks for the link! Learning all 3 does sound crazy. I have time since I have no job since this thing began. Im currently at a intermediate coding level and my pixel art is pretty decent. I am going to try and add an hour of music theory a day. It might be too much on top of the other things but im trying to push my limits.

Hi guys!
Im learning pixel art and game development. The next step is to learn music. I tried music theory, daws and felt completely overwhelmed in top of my pixel art and coding studies. I would really appreciate if someone could tell me where could I learn the basics of chiptune music, the theory involved to make music for classic pixel art rpgs. And what software. I have read a bit and I played around bosca ceoil but with my lack of basic understanding I couldnt make anything that wouldnt cause severe ear bleeding. If there is a post that you could direct me to I would be really grateful smile Thanks in advance!
