i just checked every trace, they are all good, all the pins are connected in the right way. I just don't get it. Hopefully my new SID2SID will work right...

All I want to know is, is it SID2SID compatible? If not, I gotta stick with MSSIAH.

I only was able to do a visual inspection because my multimeter is in Toronto and I am in Los Angeles, however, I have a multimeter arriving in a couple of days so I'll doublecheck it again. Thanks again for the help. I envy all you "smart people" who know how things work.

Thanks Nitro. The CS is on the right pin (7th from the left) and the trace is still there between the legs. It's a real mystery. Not sure why 2 of the 3 channels would work just fine on SID2. It's driving me crazy. I checked every leg of the two sockets actually.
I'll try building a new SID2SID and see if that works. Otherwise, who knows... This is just one of those "this tech is 35 years old so deal with it" scenarios.

So, hi everyone, long time no see.
I moved from Canada to the USA, and after I unpacked my C64, i found that the 6th channel in MSSIAH didn't work. That is to say, SID2 in a sid2sid had 1 muted channel. I swapped sids. Same. Swapped again. Same. Removed SID2SId, checked all the sids, all work perfectly directly socketed. All work perfectly in SID1. SID2, only the first 2 channels work.
What might be causing only 1 single voice in 1 single sid not to function? Could it be the mssiah cartridge? Could the problem be with the sid2sid board? I can't fathom how it's possible...
Please help?

Anyhow, if you live in the San Franciso area, and are interested in seeing a fun comedy show, I'm playing at the Dark Room theatre in the mission district, on
Friday, 8th of Feb, 8pm, Dark Room (doing 25 minutes)
Saturday, 9th of Feb, 10pm, dark room (hosting)
the whole festival is probably pretty good, but, there you have it.
Please enjoy your chpituning.

nah, lsdj sync needs to be in the midi out mode - it is the last one.
I made the same mistake twice now, i did not scroll past the options i was familiar with to find that new options were added to the end (like NXQY are after the normal letters, not inserted within them... because i'm lazy, and impatient)

like, which arduinoboy mode do you use?
You have to flash the aboy with new code, and it generates new modes. When youa re in midi mode, each led will flash as each channels midi notes are being sent.
I GET IT NOW, THIS IS AMAZING

Yeah what's with the "too busy" message. I get that when trying to use LSDJ in the arduinoboy midi sequencer mode.

Re: Using LSDJ as a midi sequencer! (180 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Okay, so I downloaded the rom and flashed my arduinoboy with the latest version and I set up a single note with the Q00 command to send the note as is. I switched LSDJ to midi mode, and the 3rd and 4th lights on the arduino started flashing like crazy, and i hadn't started the song playing yet. WHen i try to start the song playing it says "Too busy". The lights also seem to be going insane when i select "slave" as the mode. nano freezes it.
What would be causing MIDI mode in LSDJ to be causing the arduinoboy lights 3 and 4 to be going nuts, and make the sequencer "too busy" to play a song.
Also, is MIDI the correct mode for this? There's really not much documentation...
And i'm assuming that the correct arduinoboy mode is the one where all 5 LEDs flash when activated? Again, there is no documentation for this but that appears to be what the label on the image of the arduinoboy case on the arduinoboy page would indicate.

Re: C64TPC software? anyone? (6 replies, posted in Commodore Computers)
how did you still have the installation package? after all these moons? I wonder if there's a pice of tech that replaces the c64tpc now. The 1541u didn't work with mssiah well if i remember correctly. and it was always out of stock and cost 150$ or something.
