1) The program uses hex because its a tracker based on LSDJ which uses hex, which is based on... Changing to decimal, while convenient for some people probably wont happen just because that is the lay of the land in piggydom.

2) I suggested soundfonts because that is currently the only file format that piggy supports predefined instruments loop points. Emu even has a utility to easily convert your format into soundfonts that should be drag and drop into your piggy projects:
http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jun04/a … emu.htm#13

I want more people to use soundfonts on piggy because i want it to become a more robust feature, and that will only come with more user adoption.

but anyways, thanks for letting me know you are a little baby so I can just avoid responding to your posts from now on!

Support of old sample formats. (Ensoniq Mirage, E-mu Emulator/Emax, Akai MPC etc.)

I just found this old program this week that might be helpful for this:
http://www.fmjsoft.com/awframe.html

There are a couple of cool things just looking at the feature set:

-You can convert a number of sampler formats (including a bunch of tracker formats!) into soundfont, which the piggy supports
- You can save individual patches from these sampler files into single instrument sounds fonts, so you import only the ones you like.
- You can easily edit sample formats, downsample, or remove layers to reduce the size of beefy patches.
- Supports dx-7 sysex!?!!/

I havent had a chance to really dive into the demo but it might be worth checking out it if you like digging old sample libraries in general.

1. I dont think that will happen, its a tracker!
2. use soundfonts!

reverse playback as an option on the instrument screen and via command

Put the start point of a an instrument all the way at end, and the loop end point all the way the beginning on your sample.

Would it ever to be possible to store a small performance bank with instruments and presets on the teensy itself for the standalone midi mode? Is the teensy powered by midi or the sega?
