Thanks!

To respond:
- No DAW, All Gameboy Classic (DMG)
- I exported seperate LSDJ channels in BGB, to obtain a cleaner signal (and not quadruple ground noise)
- all tracks have a slight EQ and tiny bit of reverb on the pulse and noise channel.
- they were mastered by a pro (Toni Leys)
- Johan's name is spelled correctly wink

Best!

Six brand new hard-hitting chip-bass bangers! Heavily inspired by the sounds of early dubstep, UK bassline, grime, and future bass.

They weren't visible in any folder since BGB didn't properly exported any files. Playback sounds pretty terible as well so I might want to dive into the settings as well. Do you normally export as 8bit sound?

It worked! I was in the correct folder but apperently the exporting didn't go though or something! Thanks for helping!

'Did I read this thread?' YES.  Did you see my 'n00b alert' addition? wink

First part is clear!

Second part...Not. Because of my n00bness probably.  Still can't seem to find the location of the files. I found the instance but no files in there.
It's the same folder where I need to place my .GB and .SAV file, right?

BUMP!

Same problem here. I am running BGB on a Mac in Wine and can't get the export function to work. I played with several settings and searched my hardrive for files but nothing...

How can I export files? Do you get a export screen or a notification that it is exporting? Anyone?

PS: n00b alert!

Yeah, I always flash an extra cart and take it on stage just in case anything goes wrong.  But my question is mainly about how stable both types of cartridges  are in running LSDJ. (If there is any difference at all??!!) Not that I am experiences so many crashes but I was just wondering if the Drag N Derp would be more stable? Do you know anything about that?

But I guess I just get myself some new batteries for my EMS cartridges and I am good to go!

Hi peepz!

I need your help and advice...  I also posted this in the LSDJ FB-group but I know some of you that can might help me out are in here.

In the next months, I will be having some very nice gigs happening. To be fully prepared, I was thinking of changing my EMS carts to Drag 'n Derps. The main reason behind this thought is to reduce the chance of cartridges crashing on stage (yyyikes!!!).

The question of all questions: How stable are Drag 'n Derps? What are your experiences with malfunctions?

Thanks for your help in advance!

The thing is that it's not just about sound quality. That's actually a factor that doesn't change much between the lower grade interfaces. What will matter though is how good the drivers are, and I think you will have much less hassle with something tried and tested like Focusrite. Plus, it most probably has got better conversion and pre-amps than the Behringer.

CHECK! smile

Thanks for the tips so far! I think am going to dive into the Focusrite interfaces since they seem to have everything I need but maybe the Behringer UCA 202 will do the job perfectly. (Whoops, did I say that out loud?)

@Manukinuki & Crashmast: This was quite an interesting read: http://nwavguy.blogspot.nl/2011/02/behr … eview.html

More tips & advice is more than welcome ofcourse smile

Hi! I am looking to buy a high quality, yet affordable external (USB) audiocard for my laptop. I will mainly use it to record music from a pro-sounded DMG. I remember reading somewhere on this forum people where really digging the 'Behringer Uca 202'. But, since it's so cheap and it's from Behringer, I am not quite sure if I am correct wink

Any tips and/or recommendations?

Thanks!

M

Ha! That explains since I generally think the DMG's soundchip has a lack of mids and brightness smile
