Well, not saying I agree with you but, I am actually adding new elements to my 2xlsdj stuff. I'm going to be adding effects, synthesizers, and a drum machine.
But I still love the pure gameboy chip sound. And the appeal of most chipmusic is that the artist is using equipment that has limited sound capabilities and turning out things that take you out of caring or noticing. And not everyone wants to sacrifice their tastes just for a wider fanbase.
There's only so much timbre that can come out of the chip. Granted, I'm not saying I haven't heard some amazing stuff come out of it, but you have to keep in mind that there's always going to be overlap in it's sounds.
Shit. I'm out of popcorn, guys.
$10 on Sonic.
Also, Nuclace is a vital part of my life, nevermind the community.

because amateur LITERALLY means a persons who isnt a professional. and i totally agree with you but the word isnt an insult, it means a specific thing.
Haha oh duh.

Just curious. Sorry, for the hijack hijack.
a professional would be a person who makes a living writing or performing chiptune music. i know of MAYBE 5.

What qualifies as "professional"?

I think we could all use some calming hedgehogs.

lol.
(It's Frostlad and you'll like it!)
Srsly. +1 to all the artists people suggested. Especially Aeros saying me.
And D-K summed it up for me. Trey is not amateurish. You may not like his music but that doesn't make him an amateur. It just means he doesn't appeal to you.
Sweet. Good quality music to listen to! Thanks, Frostlad! If only everyone had such taste.
In all honesty, you don't need to know Trey's background to know how good and awesome his music is.
Also, for the record, I never listened to any 2xlsdj song before I started it. I'll have to go find those songs.
Ugh. This is sooo dumb.
We get too many of these "good artists?"/"why doesn't anyone show potential" threads.
This is just a mess.

Ooh. I love trolls who act formal!
Okay, I'm back. What'd I miss?
@vcmg: I'd call it dance. Unce is a lot faster.
My stuff could be called unce but it's slower. Usually only around 120.
@lazare: good taste
Holy shit, I plug someone and then someone plugs me. This is turning into an orgy!
(Edit: thank you, Aeros)
