Just wondering if anyone knows about any Icelandic chiptunes or micromusic acts, venues netlabels or events.

The rest of the Nordic countries seem to be quite active but I don't know a lot about anything potentially happening in Iceland in the chip world.

Yes. Though, to get one you need to "know a guy" since they (a.) don't ship outside of Japan and (b.) don't offer support overseas.

Hmm. But if we can't buy it. Is it possible to download as a nes rom. So we can try it out on an emulator? Do you know the name?

It's a piece of hardware, how do you download hardware?

Here's another NES Namco 163 tune, this time an original composition.

Neat, I hadn't looked into Telegram before. The file sharing in particular seems perfect for chip stuff.

Being able to share music directly to the chat is really nice, as are the quoting features.

read only is still pretty good, write your songs at home with a real floppy, and burn to the cart for gigs!

Yeah, that's why I had never noticed it was read only. I use an emulator to write the tunes and then flash for gigs. For my workflow it's not a big deal.

Yeah, if it relies on software to flash it then it will be difficult to use on every OS platform. That might not be an issue right now if the developer writes software for all the major OS platforms but going forward it'll be hard to keep up with any new operating systems and updates. DnD doesn't have to worry about any of that.

Read only though right?

You can write to them from the MIDI/PC interface so I assume you can write to them from the C64 itself, too. I'll have to confirm that tonight, but I don't remember reading anywhere that they're read-only.

No. Kerberos does not supprt save. You need an SD2IEC, floppy emulator or floppy drive.

Kerberos emulates floppies, why can't it be used to save?

Hey all!

It's been a while since I've posted here (regrettably).

I'm getting back into modding and just ordered some V6's from nonelectronics.com.  The first backlight was a breeze and hooked up with virtually no hiccups.  The second, although easy to hook up, came out inverted even though it was supposed to be the standard one.  Is there any chance in hell that something could have just been wired incorrectly and caused it to invert?  Or is it possible I got sent an inverted one by mistake?  I am sure, like always, I'm making a fool of myself!

Rotate the polarizing film.

I've always felt a little weird about making a new post in the Releases forum just for the release of a single, so I thought it would make sense to create a thread where everyone can post their new singles.

To start it off, here's a brand new NES (2a03 + N163) arrangement of the classic folk song House of the Rising Sun.

Equal Exchange - SNESEI | [post]
Flight of Shirodeyaru - HOFFMAN_IV | [post]

b4by f4c3 - pack- a -punch -  frank angotti is dead | [post]
Prism - Makary Brauner | [post]
SpaceBjørn - jefftheworld | [post]

Edit: I'll add all the singles to the first post to act as an index.

I've got a totally new track, hot off the NES! Check out the brand new Nite Comfort Volume 2 compilation tape! While it's not all chiptune, it's definitely all super rad music. Totally alphanumeric from side A to side B, the best lo-fi and experimental electronic music Toronto has to offer!

Get 'em while they're hot! The cassettes are longer than the average tape, so you get 105 minutes of amazing music; that's an absolute ton! So grab a copy before they're all gone!

Check it out on bandcamp here or grab the tape here. Enjoy! My track is a newly released NES tune (2a03 + N163) but there's a whole lot more on the release, so check it out!

The BennVenn flasher is fantastic, highly recommended.

Every copy of this video on youtube seems to have been taken down. Does anyone have or know of a copy of the Commodore Amiga World Premiere that still exists?
