when you are familiar with something, that's the way it seems, but it's not true for everyone.

take your favorite MK/SF character. now choose your favorite special from such character. Now decided what system you prefer. write out the button combo. BOOM. band name.
FOR EXAMPLE.
Mortal Kombat II
Baraka
SNES
Move = Shredder
BAND NAME = BACK BACK BACK B
ya dig?

I was luck enough square therapy wasnt taken. I'm a big fan of the name but it literally came to me in a dream. yeah i know. but just think of things you enjoy, even small stuff within the chiptune world and think of something kinda catchy. you'll get there! don't rush it!

I used VBA for my emulator. and thanks for the info chainsaw police! I do like the difference. I also know music really well. I've been playing piano since about 4 so around 20 years now. just learning how to throw it all together with different sounds and techniques is whats so great about this program. My buddy Str8-bit gave me Zef's files to look at it for reference and practice. It's really helped a lot. And I will re record straight from the DMG soon. this was just the quickest way at the moment. Thanks guys!

no thank you for the advice! so far it's sound pretty good at practice. i run it through a fender bass amp and it gives it a pretty good punch with the right settings. and as long as i have the real instruments turned down it's surprisingly pretty good. though still wouldnt have the same effect as a real drummer. but hopefully one day i can make this happen!

well the recording was emulated to be honest. I wrote the song on an emulator first then recorded it directly from my comp. maybe I should record it straight from the DMG then re-post?

no i made my own kick in the wave channel. i didnt think the preset kits had enough power. and anamanaguchi is probably my favorite band ever. no joke. ive been listening to them for a while. Im also a big fan of revingeneers and as of a few hours i checked out chips challenge and really enjoyed you guys! shared ya on my fb even.
i thought about the envelope trick to add power to the kick but it seemed so damn time consuming and i was def too lazy. not to mention i dont really use tables so all my commands were in the phrase screen.
and also I might have failed to mention this will have guitar and bass behind it live. I do not have a drummer as of yet. but i really need to find a way to pump up the drums if im not gonna have have a live drummer. Does the "having a 2nd DMG for mainly drums" thing i have going on in my head seem to work? seeing as how i would run them through my mixer i would think i would beef up the bass and volume on the drum DMG just a little more to give it more of a punch.
Ideas?
