Topic: Academic articles on chipmusic/japanese scene? (5 replies, posted in General Discussion)
In my final paper for my post-war Japan class, I'm trying to argue that for Japan, chipmusic is kind of the perfect embodiment of the mechanics of Japanese modern/postmodern culture (wherein the traditional meets the future and merge to become the present, as argued by Hiroki Azuma). I was wondering if a) anyone knows of any good academic resources about chipmusic and b) if so, if any involve the Japanese scene.

the info i've had on the net about the pc keyboard did not mention all this mess, and actually prentended it worked rather find...
I kinda enjoyed the idea of a physical interface, being rather ''instrumentist'' than computer freakis it worth the hassle ?
I found one trick for using it is to just make the instrument you want to make and then clone it a ton, so that if the keyboard jumps to a different instrument (and it totally will), there will be no noticeable difference.
