Super Bat Puncher is now my new favorite thing!
That game looks crisp, with good controls, and has some of the best in-game music I've ever heard for the NES.
I hope it gets released in cart format, and gets some rad retro packaging.

So, straight out of the E-Mu engineering lab, comes a trio of E-Mu Sound Engine Music Modules.
The lab was downsizing, and these were gonna get recycled! I naturally kept one for myself, and I figured some of you guys might be interested.
They Feature 32-voice polyphony, 16-part multitimbrality, 384 programmable presets, two digital effects processors, and a Mac computer interface. It's soundset is similar to the E-MU Proteus. Rear connections are Midi In, Out, and Thru.
One of these is a prototype. It's called "Cherry Blossom" and is prototype #4. I'm not sure what it does, but given it's layout, it's most likely just a pre production 9047, that they used for testing... and given that it wasn't thrown out in the mid 90's, it's safe to assume it still works.

No software, cables, or literature.
Gray ones are $50 each
The Cherry Blossom is $100

*sigh*
I hate you people...

My dog ran off with the neighbor dog.
I was not okay with Buster deciding that he could just liberate himself from the yard.
I persued the little escape artist on my bicycle... There was some sort of mechanical failure...
Long story short: I high-fived the earth with my body.
I broke both of my arms (radial head fractures) and I'm in a phenomenal amount of pain.
I can't do much of anything right now (short of shakin' it twice and wiping my own ass) and I'm popping Vicodin like PEZ.

Living the dream...

I got radial head fractures on both elbows. The right side is SUPER FUCKED, while the left is only kinda fucked. The way my arms are broken, there's no point in putting them in a cast... So I can wipe my own ass.
Also; I'm as gay as the day is long... So, no girlfriend.

Here's some progress on the custom DMG.
The plastic was a lot softer and easier to carve than the NES.

It's almost done.

I'm back!
I've started an entire series of custom consoles, and it's gonna be sick!
I'm thinking of calling the series either "Wasteland" or "Salvage"... I'm also open to suggestions.
Here's my current NES in progress, just to give you an idea of where this is going.
Feedback is appreciated.

I also have a DMG, SNES, Atari, and a Genesis getting the same treatment.

So, I'm out in Stockton again.
I was watching the local news, and was smacked in the face with a glorious sight: I was presented with the first car I've ever wanted to buy new!
It's called the Elio, and it's slated for production in June of 2014.
As a huge fan of three wheeled vehicles, I'm amazed that I hadn't heard of it sooner.

84 mpg Highway
49 mpg City
107 mph Top Speed
850 Lbs
Tandem Two Seater

And here's the kicker: IT'S ONLY $6800!!!!

I'm SO buying one.

Go check out their website eliomotors.com

NOICE!
Where'd you manage to find it?

That's rad.

Found this Atari 2600 and PS1 on the same bike ride on my way back from picking up my Alesis keyboard. The Playstation was in spectacular condition and was clearly adult owned. The Atari was a mess, but it's so dirt simple in there, I had it working in under an hour... currently being modded.
The Sony was in a box on the curb, and the Atari was on the free pile after a yard sale... I love free shit.

So, I started working on the matching DMG.
All of my work is looking completely bizarre without paint... I really need to go puck out some colors.

Spent a little time setting more little screws in the trim.
I also did some cleanup, and added a glass jewel to the front panel for the power light.
This light will not be controlled by the pot, so when it's on, it's just on. No brightness control.
