The moment you’ve been waiting for is there: EINDBAAS IS BACK this summer! We’re rebooting the only chiptune party in The Netherlands after a year of hiatus to bring you the biggest edition yet! We’ll be back in the venue we’ve loved the most in the past 6 years: Poppodium EKKO Utrecht on Friday September 18 and it's sold out (again)

IAYD (USA)
This Austin-based electronic musician and producer specialises in handheld bass music and lo-fi bangers. The acronym stands for “I Am Your Destruction” which couldn’t be a better description of his live sets: he will quite literally destroy you, we can promise you that.

cTrix (AU)
cTrix will return at EINDBAAS 19 Reboot! Hailing from Australia, this guy is basically the boss of every console out there. Whether it’s an Atari, Nintendo or Sega, he makes funky fresh chiptunes on it. Those who were at the epic EINDBAAS X three years ago and remember his gAtari, know his return to EINDBAAS is not to be missed!

Danimal Cannon (USA)
Dan Behrens is a professional producer with a love for writing rock & heavy metal tracks using the Nintendo Gameboy, while shredding his guitar. We’re proud to say that his unique performance finally find his way to EINDBAAS!

Kenobit (IT)
Kenobit likes fast kickdrums, flashing lights and evil riffs. After a previous life as a punk drummer, he reincarnated in a chiptune evangelist, playing around the world with a Game Boy and a headbanging attitude. Hailing from Milano, Italy, his style is influenced by classic VGM, metal, seizure warnings and hoppy beers. Under 180 BPM it’s not true love.

Visuals by Raquel Meyers (ES) & Peter Dijkstra (NL)
Raquel Meyers makes visuals by typing and drawing using her Commodore 64. She is the talent behind this edition’s artwork and will impress you even more with her moving visuals. Peter Dijkstra is an upcoming VJ and indie-game talent from Utrecht.

Diggin' In The Carts is a new series from Red Bull Music Academy about the untold story behind the most influential music to come out of Japan.

For many of us, the music of video games played more in our households growing up than any other form of music. Diggin’ In The Carts is about unearthing the men and women who inspired an entire generation while arguably creating Japan’s biggest musical export to the world. The series will include six episodes about some of the greatest composers of the 8-bit and 16-bit era of video game music.

Over six episodes Diggin' In The Carts shines a spotlight on the composers who created a style of music that has had an immense impact on modern pop culture. From the personal studios of these legendary composers, to the concert halls of Japan where symphony orchestras are performing their compositions to sold-out crowds today - the series will document how the music of video games was created, what inspired it, and how it evolved into its own cultural phenomenon. Peppered with commentary from some of modern music’s finest DJ’s, musicians and electronic producers from around the world, the documentary also shows the influence these Japanese composers had on the world - and the world of music.

EINDBAAS 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY: BEST of EINDBAAS

Because it’s the best music in the world, but very rarely to witness live, Frans Twisk and Klazien Schaap decided five years ago, to share their favourite music called ‘Chiptunes’ with a live audience. EINDBAAS was born on June 19, 2009 in the small punk venue ACU in Utrecht, but would grow up to be the most famous supplier of those irresistible dancy 8-bit bleeps in history. 

Six steaming episodes later EINDBAAS moved its already legendary parties to the bigger Ekko club in Utrecht and the Melkweg in Amsterdam, where international chiptune stars sold out the place far in advance, time and time again.Meanwhile, we’ve thrown no less than 16 official EINDBAAS episodes, with 2800 fans supporting us, 60 international artists performances and just as many new chiptune talents on the open stage and 1 complete EINDBAAS episode in New York, in only five amazing years.

EINDBAAS wants to celebrate this incredible achievement with only the brightest highlights in EINDBAAS history and the true bosses who made it all happen: you. We’ll relive all those legendary moments in EINDBAAS and the EINDBAAS Open Stage history once again. We’ll fly in only the best of our international artists from France, England, Northern Ireland and Sweden with: Henry Homesweet (UK), Chipzel (UK), FantomenK (SE), Ultrasyd (FR).
