Thanks Bit wish and SketchMan3! @Sketchman3: I checked dire dire docks on and I totally know what you mean. I think some harmonies are similar on some parts. Havent heard that song for a very long time. Thanks for the heads up.

Super RobCo Disco Battle started as a Sunday afternoon project in mid-June 2013. The idea was to create a classic arcade battle melody spiced up with a techy Disco groove. It took around half a day to compose the basic melodies and two more studio sessions with Artfx! to pimp it up with a jumpy Sega bassline, self-made arcade sound effects, additional Disco percussions & an awesome mastering.
An early beta version of the track has been released in issue #14 of the weekly Chiptune Podcast “This Week in Chiptune” by DJ Cutman.
Super RobCo Disco Battle was created using Renoise & Cubase. The lead and some of the bass samples are from the NES & the Sega Mega Drive. The Chiptune arps have entirely been designed in Renoise.

Hey 9-heart. The tune is written in Renoise and the single tracks are bounced as *.wav files. I can also provide the *xrns file if required.

Hey Chiptuners,
I spent some days working on a song called "Super RobCo Disco Battle" and wonder if anybody wants to create a remix of this. Here is a zip file with all the single tracks from the beta version of the song. www.piturtle.com/load/superrobcodiscobattle_126bpm.zip .. I will release my version (which is slightly different to the one in the zip file) on July, 23rd. If you upload a nice remix on Soundcloud, I will put it into a "Super RobCo Disco Battle" Remix Set and promote it via my channels. Download for all versions is free (but you can use "like gates" or similar free promotion tools). All remixers get the cover artwork Image as a photoshop file by next week. Remix can be released on July 23rd or later.

True. It is no pure chip event but a testing area to see how people in Berlin react to the chiptune acts. If we see that it is a success we want to establish a pure chip event very soon.
