Thanks for your precious help hmm
What good hardware midi controller or midi sequencer to use it with sammich?

How do you use it?

I've found a Sammich SID kit, yes!
Now please tell me everything about it, I wasn't sure about get it 'cause I really don't know nothing 'bout MIDI, but the SID sound must be present in my set-up. So what I need to learn to use this complex (to me)device?
A tool like this one:

Can be useful to me?
Tell me all you know about the Sammich SID!

Solved.
I have found a Sammich SID, yes!

Interesting project! I'm waiting to have the confirm for a real sammichsid, but in case of a negative answer this can be a good alternative.
Only...why don't you use real SID chips?

Well, the Papilio is a FPGA board with an Arduino type form factor. The RetroArcade is like a Arduino shield. It mounts to the Papilio and supplies connectors and lcd I/O for the FPGA.
In the end you upload  bitstreams that set up the FPGA chip as a synth, there are IP cores (configurations of the FPGA's internal logic to recreate a hardware device) for SID, YM and Pokey I think. You can also create a totally new synth design. It's kind of like a emulation but at a transistor level, more of recreating the chips on a re-programable design platform.

Ouch! For me (and my poor english) this is too difficult, I didn't understand...
Is this a kit?
Is it a real hardware synth that you play via midi?
The only thing that I understand is that it's an emulation, and searchin' here & there nobody seems to use it.

And this?

What exactly is this thing?
Anyone knows?

Argh.... I hate this, it's not the kind of interface that make it for me, there's zero possibilities that I've got time (and brain wink) fully understand how to make it work.
I hate use computer (except for recording) when play or produce my tunes, I'm a "only hardware guy".
So, am I out with the sammich?

what's a gui editor?

Maybe-I said maybe-I have found a SammichSID, so I'd like to know much more about it before buy. Users, tell me about this baby!

You're right, but the fact is that I prefer something hardware, Mssiah it sound great but I think it's not my goal. The mode machine's item it looks good to me but there are 2 versions, the first more cheap has a sid clone instead of the real one, this
http://www.newgroove.it/articolo.php?it … CHINES-SID
and then the "limited edition" with the real sid, this other:

Thanks, just sent a mail to the owner

Hi, can anyone here sell to me or build one of these d.i.y. projects?
Or maybe you have other hardware sid synth that you want to sell?
Tell me here or pm!

It seems to me there's no one that own this machine or I'm wrong? I'd like to hear something from this product, does anyone here have it?
I'd like to have a SID synth on my current set up, but I'm not able to make a Midibox or either a Sammichsid, and the real C64 hardware and programs seems to me "not comfortable", so I would like something that I can simply buy and play...
Opinions and alternative choices?
What can be my goal?

UPDATE
I have to say that his costumer service sometimes it's yeah so awesome: in this case he have sent me a free replacement without request from me.
I have to tell this to be honest.
Thank you Mr.Wittchow!
(But I still hate that usb-midi thing)

I have two of those fuckin' usb-midi things, and there's no way to make it work. I sent many mails to Mr.Wittchow and he answered but his solutions doesn't work and then he stop answering my mails. So to me his customer service it's not so awesome, and his usb-midi thing it's something that I hate...
