Anyone got a Nanoloop 2 cart for sale please, preferably with the latest version on?

OK, £35 with postage to UK. Bit more for abroad, depending on cost of shipping.

As the title says. I'm in the UK. Make me an offer....

A collection of microtonal chiptunes made with LSDJ and a re-tuning script.

Listen/purchase here: https://robinandrews.bandcamp.com/album/micro-sketches

I downloaded a pack of world music sounds as .wavs, but when Nanoloop loads them, they are empty, even though the sample name displays. The samples play fine with a music player, so I'm wonder what are the requirements for samples to be accepted by Nanoloop on Android?

A couple of years ago I posted here about problems with Android Nanoloop handling odd time signatures, even simple ones like 12/8. Does anyone know if this issue has been resolved? (Original post: http://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/15517 … -lengths/)

Many thanks. I'm working on some microtonal music now, will post some here I think.

Hi there.

I've just put my first album (EP really) up on Bancamp here: https://robinandrews.bandcamp.com/album/new-directive

Many thanks to everyone here who has helped me so far on my chiptune journey with all your helpful answers and comments.

If anyone has anything nice to say about the tracks, encouraging words are always welcome! smile

Here's my experience:

GameYob has programmable shoulder keys so select can be assigned to L, which is very useful indeed. LameBoy doesn't seem to be able to do this, which makes me sad.

LameBoy seems to have a much smoother wav channel, with hardly any clicking, whereas GameYob clicks a lot on wav. Also with high speed vibrato.

In theory I could write tunes on GameYob and record from LameBoy, but that is a faff.

Anyone else got a preference, or anything to add?

Would anyone be kind enough to listen to a couple of my LSDJ  tracks here: https://soundcloud.com/robin-andrews-ch … sdj-tracks

and let me know what you think needs doing in terms of mastering if I want to put some of them on Bandcamp along with some others I've not put on my soundcloud yet.

So far I've got LDSJ retuned like so: http://littlesounddj.wikia.com/wiki/Microtuning_HOWTO

I've got CellsDS with microtonal frequencies loaded

I've read that Nanoloop can do it, but don't have the equipment.

Are there any other programs which run on a DS and allow for microtonal tunings such as this one: http://xenharmonic.wikispaces.com/17edo+neutral+scale

?

Bret Truchan has just put up the source code for his awesome CellsDS on github at:

https://github.com/clone45/cellsds

I want to make a tiny tweak to allow more than 8 sequencer blocks. However, I can't compile the code because it was built for older versions of DevkitARM/PAlib/libnds which don't seem to be anywhere on the web (around r21 of DevkitARM I believe, and whatever libnds and PAlib were current then)

If anyone has the right versions of these to compile the code, or can make it work some other way, I'd love to hear from you.

I use Nanoloop on a DS, but would like to be able to backup and also try the "microtonal hack," so I need these bits. Ideally all together as it's easier, but not necessarily. I live in the UK. Any able to help?

Thanks,

I'd probably use bandcamp.

So, even if I'm recording 8-bit chiptune (eg LSDJ), I still need a high bit rate mp3 for it to sound good?

No sure what "lossless" means. I've been saving my work as mp3 from WavePad. Should I save it as .wav?
