Sure, why not.

Dissonance you say? I'll look into it.
It is a pulse kick. I don't really use the wave channel for kicks, I should experiment with that some more.
And thank you!

Well, I can safely say this is the best song I've made so far.
But I'm somewhat biased. So how does it hold up? Be kind!

Oh, I had not noticed I had replies!
Oh i assume this is LSDJ You should put the system and software your using in the title it'll draw more people into reading!
It is LSDJ. And thank you for your comments. I don't use a great deal of commands most of the time. Need to get some more practice in with them.
I think this is great. Love the composition. I would put a little more of just the noise part between the two melodic sections.
Thank you! I'll play about with it, see if extending that bit sounds better.

I'm usually far too scared to request any cc.
But I'm oddly happy with this song, so feel free to shatter my happiness and tell me everything that's wrong with it.

New DMG arrived in the post today courtesy of ASM:
Not shown but it has a matching green power LED and a rather spiffy white biverted screen.
This completes my beautiful set of three:
The other two also have matching power LEDs and white screens (which should've been, but aren't biverted).
And I will be replacing the black silicone buttons on the black/red one with red buttons so it matches properly.
With the arrival of the purple/green one my dream collection is complete. And as long as ASM don't release a new colour shell that would go well with the transparent orange, my money is safe.

Just finished listening!
Brought me back to mid 2000's
Summer of '86 and Hope Hearts were my favorite. Nice and chill.
Thanks for sharing, dude!
Hooray!
Thank you for listening!

Hello all,
I've recently completed my first chiptune album.
If you'd like to stream it, it's available on
http://nostalgicstory.bandcamp.com/albu -than-life
Or
https://soundcloud.com/nostalgicstory/s -than-life
It's also on lastfm, jamendo and will be in spotify, torrent sites and all the other usual places soon(ish).
It can also be downloaded directly from:
http://nostalgicstory.com/downloads/alb 20Life.zip
I'd recommend headphones and incredibly low expectations.
Thank you for listening! It won't be the worst thing you've ever heard, I promise!

I think EU postage is fixed at £8.99. Don't quote me on that though.

Hey,
I'm wondering if anyone knows a good place to get custom dmgs in the UK.
Had a bad experience with DJ Transformer in the past and I'm not having much luck with GameBoyMods.co.uk.
Anyone know of anyone reliable in the UK that does custom systems?
Thank you!

Re: Customized gear thread (1,206 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Well, I'm in the UK you see, and I ordered it from someone in the USA.
Sending it back to the USA and then having it shipped back to the UK is probably going to be more expense than it's worth. But I'll find out.
Perhaps I could just get a refund for the cost of the bivert mod.
I'll send the screen comparisons to the seller and see what he says about it.
Thanks for your help.

I think you must be right.
With them both switched off, the screens look the same. The usual green colour.
This is disappointing. I paid for it to be biverted. And there's nothing I can do about it now either.

Oh, well, I asked for the screen to be biverted. I'm new to this whole thing and am not too knowledgeable on some of the hardware mods. I was under the impression that biverting screens made them easier to read by improving the contrast, so thats what I wanted.
Here's another comparison where I've changed the screen settings in LSDJ so both screens are dark on light.

Re: Customized gear thread (1,206 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Red doesn't improve as much as white does when it's biverted, so this is the better choice, in my opinion.
However, neither of these screens are biverted in the pictures. Was the modification done after the photos?
Apologies, I should have been more clear. They both have white screens. The red/black one has a normal white screen. The blue/clear one has a biverted white screen.
Here's a hastily put together screen comparison:

New DMG! Courtesy of Greightbit again.
Here's my first one: http://chipmusic.org/forums/post/185472/#p185472
And here's my new one:
And here they are together:
They're ever so beautiful!
You can't tell in the photos really, but the black/red one has a chrome screen bezel and the blue/clear one has silver. They look quite different in real life.
The black/red one is my LSDJ machine. The blue/clear one is my nanoloop machine. (YES! I NEED TWO MACHINES DAMMIT!!!)
The black/red one doesn't have a biverted screen, whereas the blue/clear one does. I've realised this is the opposite of what I should have had really. Nanoloop is easier to read without a biverted screen, and LSDJ is easier to read with a bivert mod. Oh well, I can always swap the carts over, even if they won't colour match anymore...
