Yeah see that was the first thing I wanted to hear about when I started this thread. What are the kind of setups that are out there; that aren't financially lethal that is.

Oh wait, when you say system do you mean like GameBoy and the like? Or have I misinterpreted again?

Ok, mostly what I hear about is LSDJ, which I would be interested in entering into, but I'm not restricting myself. And I am completely new to the hardware aspect, so I will probably need more explanation.
Excuse my ignorance, but I still don't think I understand what you mean Theta

It was kind of intended to be open ended. It was supposed to welcome all of the different types of rigs, cause I'm completely lost when it comes to all of that, therefor I don't know what kind of rig I'm looking for.
As far as what I'm writing for, looking to open up a Bandcamp in the future, but for now I'm just trying to heighten my skill musically.

Topic: Tips for Starting a New Rig (26 replies, posted in General Discussion)
So for the time I have been making music I have used emulators. I'm about to move, so I thought now would be as a good a time as any to try and set up a new and proper rig at my place. So my question is, what are the necessities to getting a proper rig together and being able to make music with it?
If there is a topic for this let me know, I just couldn't find it

I have to agree with Fear of Dark on this one. I feel like the whole idea of this collaboration is taking one thing (Poke'mon) and representing it a lot of different ways through a ton of stylistically different and talented artists.
GeneralKlenkton and I will do Magnemite, as a collaboration within a collaboration.
Oh man. Oh man, oh man. Now you're getting crazy.
I'll put you both down.

No decisions as far as releasing have been made. And I'm trying to keep each artist to one Poke'mon, so are you planning to make 3 different songs or one three part song?

Suprised nobody said Missingno yet.
Do you want to do him? I can hear some great glitchchip coming out of that. (Is that a thing? )
