The K2000 uses V.A.S.T. (Variable Architecture Synthesis Technology) which allows you to take any multi-sample, noise or waveform and process it using just about any synthesis technique. The source of these multi-samples are from the 8MB of ROM which hold tons of authentic and superb quality samples. The internal processing is 32-bit with 18-bit DACs. The K2000 uses 31 sound-shaping algorithms to provide a variety of resonant filters, EQs, continuous panning, amplitude modulation, crossfade, distortion, digital wrap, waveshaper, pulse width modulation, high frequency enhancement, low frequency oscillators, hard sync oscillators and mixing oscillators, all with real-time MIDI control.

The K2000's have been used by Robert Miles, Pink Floyd, Jean Michel Jarre, Depeche Mode, Hardfloor, Tori Amos, Stevie Wonder, Nick Rhodes (Duran Duran), Bon Harris (Nitzer Ebb), Front Line Assembly, KMFDM, LTJ Bukem, Nine Inch Nails, Massive Attack, Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, Laurent Garnier, and Luther Vandross.

That's it! This is the full library converted to 8 bit, with loops perfectly preserved. All patches come from the Kurzweil K2000 floppy images I've found around there, and includes some legendary sounds (have a look at the synth folder) ready to use in whatever-tracker...

(...merry xmas and that...)

I hope you like it! F$$K THE OBSOLESCENCE!

No, it is not WAV, but you can use it in almost any PC tracker. WAV loop data usually is discarded when you load it in trackers, so I choosed the most common format to retain that loop points. The full collection is in 8bit 8svx (you can convert these back to wav with Wavosaur, but you will loss the loop data). The other two versions are in 16bit, but aren't complete (only the factory sounds).

Note my collections aren't intended for use with modern DAWs. The releases are (and will be) mostly IFF 8 bit to avoid copyright issues (don't know the real copyright status for them, but I am sure, they are >25 years old).

Sorry for the inconvenience if the format doesn't fit your needs. You could use Awave Studio (run as administrator, it will work) to batch convert these.

The FZ-1 was a 5 octave keyboard and hybrid sampler/synthesizer released by Casio Computer Company in 1987. It was the fist affordable 16 bit sampler for the mass and included 1MB memory (expandable to 2MB).

Here is the entire collection straight from disk for your tracker. I tried to keep the original data as much as possible, but in this case I had to convert to 8 bit. Some loops are wrong, but easy to repair. The envelope data this time couldn't be converted (sorry!).

It comes in three flavours:
CASIOFZ4AMIGA
IFF-8bit --> the entire collection, including factory, shareware, user and some other floppies converted to 8 bit, loop preserved.

CASIOFZ4AMIGA-IFF-16BIT
IFF-16bit --> the Factory Library with no quality reduction.

CASIOFZ4FT2-XI-Delta16Bit
XI-16bit --> the same Factory Library for Fast Tracker 2.

Sample rates are 36/18/9 kHz and usually they keep below the protracker limit for 64kb. If you test them, please feedback! Happy tracking!

NOTE: The links will work a while, then it will be only available in English Amiga Board.

Thank you, I must say I played with some of your plugins (amazing!), I missed some of them in http://www.dirtybomb.tk/destr6y!/ like teeth, when I saw your work in some posts, the plugins weren't available sad

It would be an honor if you let me test those plugins and the new ones.... 8) (even happier).

i'm curious... i've seen a couple of your posts on eab as well...

do you use octamed?

Yes, I used it since 1994. I must say I preffer the Protracker replay routine (it has no clicks), but I LOVE the editing capabilities of OctaMED/SoundStudio (including REXX use).

People in EAB are very friendly and creative, I discovered CHIPMUSIC after some musicians from there. So here I am doin the sharing thing... hope you like it! wink

Thanks for the feedback!!

PS: As always, shame on my english smile

Hi there, I've been working on new sample banks to improve our amiga library. This time the pack includes samples straight from the original disk or rom, directly dumped from the original hardware and converted using sox. So we have samples from Akai MPC-60 (disk), Akai XR-10 (disk), SP-12000 (disk), Oberheim DMX (rom), Linn9000 (rom), and CASIO RZ1 (full library from the original sample tape). I've also included my personal library (1392 samples) wich includes other famous drum samples and effects. All samples are IFF-8SVX 8bit 22050-32000 with no loop set.

The download link will be available for a time, for more info, please visit English Amiga Board.

Hope you like. I will be glad if you post some noise with that samples here, by the way: Happy tracking!!

2014/04/09: Library update. Please read 1st post wink

"The Ensoniq Mirage DSK-1 is an 8-bit sampler with true Voltage Controlled Analog Filters, (VCF's), giving the Mirage that warm sweeping sound only found in today's, and yesterdays analog synthesizers. Because of its 8-bit graininess and VCF capabilities, like sign wave modulation, the Mirage has become a legend amongst most keyboard musicians." (from the Meta Sounds Sample Library, included)

So I've managed to convert all the mirage sample disk i've found on the net. They are converted 1:1 straight from disk without resampling or bit reducing, keeping their maximum quality. Note our miggie doesn't have such VCF's, but at least we have samples to play with.

The entire library, extracted from few user disks, includes the Meta Sounds Sample Library and comes in two flavours:

I) IFF-8SVX format (with loops preserved): suitable for Amiga trackers

II) Fasttracker XI (also with envelope data): for most pc trackers (dunno if exists an amiga tracker with amplitude envelopes, this is the closest thing to protracker that allows that).

EDIT (2014/04/09): Thanks to commodorejohn from EAB who sent me the files, we have the full Ensoniq Mirage Disk Collection converted to 8SVX with loop data included. Thanks also to Thomas for "chunked" and "replbody" command. He saved a lot of work!

I've updated the library to the final version: added original loop information and XI instruments with envelope data. Please read the 1st post. wink

Max Mix is the name of the most important megamix saga in spain (and some other countries) between 1985 and 1997. If you want more info please google.

SAMPLE PACK: This pack contains some of the most famous vocals samples between 1995 and 1997. They're converted to 22050 8bit for ease use but keeping the quality as much as possible.

Enjoy!!

PS: Don't have much time to finish the Ensoniq library and Fix the remaining Emax faulty disks. Someone wants to help chopping samples ?
PS2: Remember, you can import them in wavosaur as signed 8 bit binary file if they're raw

THANKS FOR THE CHEERS!!!

I downloaded this because I think these will be awesome to use in SunVox but they're all in a file type I've never used before (I'm guessing it's some sort of amiga or protracker specific format?). Any way one could get these into .wav or something similar?

You can batch convert these collections with Wavosaur (windows), a free SOX-based sample editor with many useful functions. All the 8svx and iff samples will be recognised and converted to wav. For those .sb samples in Fairlight Library you will have to wait a while (i will release the final pack in short with both .wav and .8svx formats).

If you make some music with these please post it here, I'll be glad to listen!!

F$$K THE OBSOLESCENCE!

This time I bring you the entire* EMAX I library straight from disk 1:1 just converted to 8 bit for use with our miggies. The samples have been extracted from the original floppy library using CMXPn and converted to 8svx with no resampling. Notes from F-3 to A-3 works fine, and you can upsample without much aliasing if you need higher octaves due to its quality.

Not much to say about EMU. Here you can find some famous samples like enigma shakuhachi, and many other st-xx sounds in its original form. Look into TINE_STRINGS, PIPELINE and RAGIN_WATERS for instant pleasure!!!

This could be one of the best sample libraries available for Amiga but it has some things you should take care:

-This collection doesn't have any loop set. You will have to do it manually.
-The bit depth has drop from 16 to 8 bit to fit amiga standards, but compression is applied to preserve the quality as much as possible.
-Sample names coudn't be preserved, so they have named after the emu-bank they belong
-Some samples are >65534 bytes, so loading in protracker will cut them. If you want the full sample to be used, you must upsample it (using soundbox for example).

* some disks are missing due to faulty conversion. working on them.

I'm still working on new sample banks, next to come: ENSONIQ MIRAGE

to be true, I preffer the Fairlight CMI one. What do you think?

Thanks Akira. I will be release them in short after give a little time. Next to come: MADMIX jingles collection.
