ATM I'm trying to listen to Autechre's Exai all the way through... I'm getting there. I like the album a lot so far though.

Other than that the latest (free!) release by Oval is very nice where he's met a bunch of singers that all in a way interpret/appropriate some tracks from O and ovalDNA. Very nice.

Also, Evol released all their cut bits n pieces from 2010 - '13 as a huge track which is superb in all ways. Hoover love.
(Bought the little cardboard print that comes with - together with the Goodiepal book, wow)

Sensate Focus' "remix" "Heatsick Deviation" on PAN is pretty stunning as well, looking forward to the next in the series on Editions Mego where he teams up with Mat Steel (together as SND)

Oh, oh- and The Knife's latest single is very nice.

Excited about:
Evol - Proper Headshrinker
Sensate Focus - 2
Atom™ - HD
µ-Ziq - Somerset Avenue Tracks (if they ever go digital)
Emptyset - Material

I also tend to gravitate towards Electronic, OP. I listen to a lot of Moombahton and Electropop but like most people I listen to lots of other crap too.

Been listening to Justin Bieber's acoustic album a lot recently, a good bit of Sigur Rós, some Chairlift and Britney Spears.

Stuff I've discovered in recent years that made it to my Permanent Stash Of Music To Be Preserved For All Of Time And A Day(tm)

Of course not all of it is new.. I tend to get into bands 20 years after other people have stopped listening to them...but meh. Not embedding the videos otherwise it would take too much space...

Adebisi Shank: High-powered math punk. I recommend seeing these guys live; they put on a hell of a show and they're super nice and down-to-earth dudes.

Still weirds me out to hear people in distant lands loving these guys. But so they should, possibly our finest export, great guys. big_smile
Also, did you know Vinny dabbles in some chippy stuff?

Just a few names from the last three months of music I've been listening to (says Last.FM):

- Dubmood (chip)
- The White Stripes (punk)
- Passenger (singer songwriter)
- NOFX (punk)
- Dropkick Murphys (hardrock)
- Misfits (punk)
- Yann Tiersen (classical)
- Ludovico Einaudi (classical)
- Jedi Mind Tricks (hiphop)
- Hans Zimmer (classical)
- 2pac (hiphop)
- Turbonegro (punkrock)
- Ill Bill (hiphop)
- Dire Straits (rock)
- CCR (rock)
- Fleedwood Mac (rock)
- Social Distortion (punkrock)

Mostly punk and rock because I made a 'youth' playlist of shit I've been listening to while skateboarding 10 years ago. Classical influenced music because it's pretty good music when working (I tend to sing-a-long in my head to songs with singing, so classical music works better). And hiphop because Jedi Mind Tricks, Ill Bill and 2pac are great when just surfing the internet or doing nothing really.
